Working out of Barnsley in South Yorkshire, Mike's passion for photography turned professional in the early 1980s. 'I worked for some of the region's leading studios; predominately undertaking wedding assignments. As my technical skills improved, it was obvious to me that my real talent was working with people.'

With over twenty years experience Mike has covered every denomination and overcome the light, the dark, the wet and the miserable. 'We visit the site of the ceremony and the reception before the actual event. No one can control the weather, but we can make it work to our advantage'

Mike prefers to take portraits on location, 'somewhere the subject feels comfortable. Somewhere that let's their true self come to the fore.'
